Level 1 (Introductory)
Basic poses are introduced emphasizing mobility, stability, strength, and alignment. Students are gradually introduced to the philosophy of yoga and relationship between body, mind, and breath.
More challenging postures are introduced including standing poses, headstand, shoulderstand cycle, backbends, forward bends and twists.
The work deepens with further exploration of standing poses, inversions, backbends, forwardbend cycle, twists and Pranayama (controlled breathing).
Gentle and Restorative Yoga
A gentle, slower-paced class for people new to yoga or for anyone with some limitations, such as old injuries or stiffness from activities like biking or jogging. The class covers foundation poses focusing on posture, balance, strength, mobility, and flexibility and includes some restorative poses.
